about

"Ten years ago Aarophat and myself released The Black Noise LP. The album took us 3 years to make with Aaro traveling to Atlanta for recording sessions. We went through well over 2 dozen songs to boil the album down to what you hear today. Our goal was to make something that reflected our influences and something that we would be proud of years later, and here we are. 10 years and I still get people hitting me up about this album and what's their favorite joint. This is definitely one of my favorite projects. So many stories from sessions to actually not getting the distribution we wanted, but it worked out for us. I'm thankful for this project but it really showed me how to put together an album, taught me a lot about producing in general. Thank yall for supporting this project, not bad from a couple of Midwest kids!" - Illastrate

"When me and Illastrate first linked up and agreed to unite as a group, we sat down and had a long talk about how we wanted to portray ourselves. With myself being a solo artist and Illa producing for lots of different acts our main focus was to find our common ground, both of us hailing from the Midwest, we had an opportunity to let the world hear just how hot our melting pot could be. Turns out the vibe we put out there was one a lot of people could relate to and respect. We wanted to make classic hip hop that could stand time’s test and I believe we succeeded. Definitely a part of my catalog that makes me most proud, even a decade later."- Aarophat

The LP has been remastered and re-arranged celebrating 10 years since it's release. Two new bonus tracks were added, "In The Trunk"(the original version) and unreleased track, "Sunday Song"feat. Boog Brown.
