about

“Huh, What?!” is a good ol’ boom bap track about nothing in particular other than rocking out and representing for Working Class Music Group. Inspired by sights of fine ass Trekkies at Dragon-Con and lighting up some loud while bumping Licensed to Ill, the high energy lyrics and knocking production courtesy of King I Divine create a joint made for kicking back and appreciating the goodness of the moment. As evidenced by previous songs together, the harmonious collaboration between blctxt and producer King I Divine is nothing less than karmic chemistry. Rhymes wrapped in effortless control from the emcee ride smoothly over King’s hard-hitting drum beats and cohesive production.

The B side single is “Jade Malas,” an ode to blctxt’s working class dream chasers. Anyone that has sat in unbending rush hour traffic at seven in the morning or stood shoulder to shoulder with unsmiling commuters on public transportation while daydreams of penning that dope verse, finishing up that business plan, or launching that commerce website frequently possess your thoughts, this joint is the soundtrack to your grind. blctxt reveals the lesson of the law of attraction: gratitude for your present will, in due time, yield to gifts of success and abundance. With vocal contributions from Venus and Dipp on the hook, “Jade Malas” is a soulful and honest interpretation of the everyday blue collar worker’s constant fight to create a legacy that surpasses their obligatory duties.
